The hinges work great but if you use a decalgirl skin a word of warning. I had to remove the back skin to get the kindle in the hinges. Its probably because its new and perhaps I won’t have that problem next time but its not a big deal since I don’t look at the back skin much anyway. The cover folds back nicely and lays pretty flat. The leather and suede feel great and are of great quality. The pocket is know flush with the case so much so that is hardly is noticeable. The case also closes flat. And best of all, the case is very light. It weighs less than the amazon case. I do not like heavy cases so this is a plus for me. I would guess its around 4.5 to 5 ounces in weight. And while being light , it still feels solid enough that it is protecting the screen. I am very happy with this case and have found the one case I will be using for the kindle.
